Biography

Stephanie Mabey is an up and coming singer/songwriter. After releasing 3 independent albums under the name Stephanie Smith, she moved to a new state, embraced her funky married name and stepped into a fresh chapter of her music. Previously she was voted one the top 15 artists in the West by Billboard Magazine in the Independent Music World Series. She's played many national venues including the House of Blues (Hollywood) & the Bitter End (New York). Stephanie's music has been featured by Nokia, AOL and on the soundtrack for the independent film remake of "Pride and Prejudice" (Excel Entertainment).

Working with Stephanie is a dream. She brings focused musical intensity to every take. She also brings a strong sense of musical identity to the studio, which I like to see in a recording artist. This project was a pleasure to work on.

— Producer Giles Reaves (Patty Griffin, Chantal Kreviazuk, Nichole Nordeman)

I have been a fan of Stephanie and her music for several years. There are so many aspiring artists and songwriters who place so much importance on capturing the flavor of the month in their music. In the end, what I often feel I get is a trendy collection of words, notes and beat and no soul. One of Stephanie's most appealing qualities is her authenticity and genuineness of spirit, and it shows in her music.
